How We Collect Your Data We actively collect your personal data through the following channels:

Purpose of Collection

Your personal data will be used for purposes related to participation in programmes and activities, issuing receipts, collecting user feedback, and performing analyses. We may use the contact information you provide to send promotional news and information about the programmes, activities, courses, services, and donation requests of DDM Academy and its service units.

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. If you do not provide complete and accurate personal data, we may be unable to provide the requested services, or your application may be delayed or rejected.

Photography, Videography & Media Photos and videos may be taken during our classes and events. All videos and photos taken are the property of DDM Academy and will be used for marketing and promotional purposes. If you wish to have your image or data deleted, please send an email to [email protected].

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service (privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/). After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Comments & Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for one year for convenience. We use additional cookies to manage logins and screen displays:

  • Login page visits: A temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies (contains no personal data, discarded when closed).
  • Active Logins: Cookies save your login information (lasts 2 days) and screen choices (lasts 1 year). Selecting “Remember Me” persists your login for two weeks.
  • Publishing/Editing: An additional cookie indicating the post ID is saved for 1 day.

Transfer and Sharing of Data

DDM Academy does not rent, sell, or disclose your personal information to unaffiliated third parties except in the following circumstances:

  • To agents, contractors, or third-party service providers supplying administrative, telecommunications, computer, or other services to DDM Academy.
  • To the person or company providing the service you requested.
  • To Diamond Digital Marketing (HK) Ltd.

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
  • Note: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Retention & Security

  • Comments: Retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
  • Registered Users: Personal information provided in user profiles is stored indefinitely. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except usernames). Administrators can also see and edit this information. Content activity (creating/updating/deleting posts) is also saved.
  • Security Logs: This site retains logs of every login attempt to the CMS backend (including IP address, username, and attempt status) to prevent unauthorized access. This data is retained for 90 days.
  • Spam Detection: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images). Embedded content behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or attended our classes, you have the right to:

  • Request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request the correction or update of your personal data.
  • Request that we erase/delete any personal data we hold about you (excluding data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes).
  • Opt-out of receiving promotional materials at any time.
